Overview
Optimize Placements Rule Sets allow you to automatically adjust Sponsored Products placement multipliers based on performance conditions.
This Rule Set type operates at the Campaign level and evaluates placement-level performance metrics such as Top of Search, Product Page, and Rest of Search. When defined conditions are met, the system updates placement multipliers according to your configuration.
Optimize Placements Rule Sets apply to Sponsored Products only.
Explanation
Optimize Placements Rule Sets evaluate placement-specific performance over a selected data range. Based on your defined conditions, the system adjusts placement multipliers for eligible campaigns.
The automation follows this structure:
Select the Goal: Optimize Placements.
Define Conditions using placement-level metrics.
Select an Action related to placement multiplier adjustment.
Choose Frequency and Data Range.
Select eligible Campaigns.
Activate the Rule Set.
Supported Placement Types
Placement adjustments apply to:
Top of Search
Product Page
Rest of Search
Available Actions
When configuring a rule, you can:
Increase placement multiplier.
Decrease placement multiplier.
Set a fixed placement multiplier value.
When adjusting placement multipliers, you can optionally configure minimum and maximum limits. These guardrails ensure placement changes remain within defined boundaries.
If a calculated change exceeds the defined limits, the adjustment is capped accordingly.
