Product Rating Tracking Dashboard in KwickMetrics

Product Rating Tracking: Setup, Metrics, and Analysis

Overview

Product Rating Tracking enables sellers to monitor, analyze, and understand customer ratings at the product level across supported marketplaces. It focuses specifically on product star ratings and helps sellers assess product perception, identify rating issues early, and evaluate the impact of feedback campaigns.

This module provides visibility into rating volume, rating quality, and rating trends over time.

Explanation

Product Rating Tracking collects and organizes customer star ratings (1 to 5 stars) for enabled products. Ratings are tracked at the ASIN level and include all associated variants automatically.

The data shown in Product Rating Tracking reflects customer sentiment toward the product itself and is independent of seller feedback related to service or fulfillment.

Product Rating Dashboard

The Product Rating Dashboard provides a consolidated view of rating performance for all enabled products.

Summary metrics displayed include:

  1. Total Ratings – Total number of ratings received

  2. Average Rating – Overall average star rating (1 to 5)

  3. Total Positive Ratings – Count of 4-star and 5-star ratings

  4. Total Negative Ratings – Count of 1-star and 2-star ratings

All summary metrics update dynamically based on the selected date range.

Customer Ratings Breakdown

The Customer Ratings Breakdown provides a detailed distribution of ratings.

Displayed data includes:

  1. Overall average rating

  2. Total rating count

  3. Percentage distribution by star level:

    1. 5-star

    2. 4-star

    3. 3-star

    4. 2-star

    5. 1-star

This breakdown helps sellers understand whether rating changes are driven by isolated issues or broader quality trends.

Rating Collection Logic

Product Rating Tracking follows a defined data collection approach.

Key behaviors:

  1. Up to 100 most recent ratings per star level (1–5) are collected for each product

  2. Ratings are tracked at the ASIN level

  3. Ratings for all product variants are included automatically

  4. New ratings are synced regularly to reflect recent customer activity

Notes
NOTE
Historical ratings beyond the most recent limits may not be fully represented.

Enabling Product Rating Tracking

Products must be explicitly enabled before ratings are tracked.

Setup behavior:

  1. Sellers choose which products to enable for rating tracking

  2. Once enabled, ratings are tracked for the selected product and its variants

  3. Disabled products stop syncing new rating data

ASIN tracking is subject to plan-based limits.

Managing Products for Rating Tracking

Sellers can manage which products are included in Product Rating Tracking.

Management capabilities include:

  1. Viewing all available products

  2. Searching products by ASIN

  3. Enabling or disabling rating tracking using a toggle

  4. Monitoring remaining ASIN tracking limits

This allows sellers to focus tracking on high-priority or high-risk products.

Product Rating Tracking includes trend analysis to evaluate changes over time.

Trend capabilities include:

  1. Time range selection (predefined and custom ranges)

  2. Comparison mode to measure improvement or decline versus a previous period

  3. Grouping by:

    1. Day

    2. Month

Trend charts can display:

  1. Actual average rating

  2. Comparison average rating

  3. Star-level rating trends

These views help correlate rating changes with campaigns, listing updates, or operational changes.

Products Rating Table

The Products Rating Table provides product-level visibility.

Table fields include:

  1. Product name and image

  2. SKU

  3. Marketplace

  4. Last updated date

  5. Total ratings

  6. Average rating

  7. Positive ratings

  8. Negative ratings

The table supports sorting and column customization for focused analysis.

  3. Sellers can correlate rating trends with specific outreach efforts
