How to Configure Target ACOS and Target ROAS in Campaign Manager

How to Configure Target ACOS and Target ROAS in Campaign Manager

Overview

Target ACOS and Target ROAS are campaign-level performance threshold settings available in Campaign Manager. These values define efficiency goals that are passed to the advertising platform (where supported) and used as part of campaign optimization behavior. This article explains where these settings are configured, how to update them, and the rules that apply.

Explanation

Target ACOS (Advertising Cost of Sales) and Target ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) are stored at the campaign level and managed directly from the Campaign Manager campaign list.

Campaign Manager allows users to:

  1. Edit Target ACOS or Target ROAS inline for individual campaigns

  2. Update Target ACOS or Target ROAS in bulk across multiple campaigns

  3. Validate entered values against supported system ranges before saving

Only one performance target is typically applicable per campaign, depending on campaign configuration and marketplace behavior.

Usage

Configure Target ACOS or Target ROAS when you need to:
  1. Define a clear efficiency goal for a campaign

  2. Align campaign optimization with business performance targets

  3. Apply consistent thresholds across multiple campaigns

  4. Update performance goals without editing campaigns directly in Amazon Ads
