Overview
Target ACOS and Target ROAS are campaign-level performance threshold settings available in Campaign Manager. These values define efficiency goals that are passed to the advertising platform (where supported) and used as part of campaign optimization behavior. This article explains where these settings are configured, how to update them, and the rules that apply.
Explanation
Target ACOS (Advertising Cost of Sales) and Target ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) are stored at the campaign level and managed directly from the Campaign Manager campaign list.
Campaign Manager allows users to:
Edit Target ACOS or Target ROAS inline for individual campaigns
Update Target ACOS or Target ROAS in bulk across multiple campaigns
Validate entered values against supported system ranges before saving
Only one performance target is typically applicable per campaign, depending on campaign configuration and marketplace behavior.
Usage
Configure Target ACOS or Target ROAS when you need to:
Define a clear efficiency goal for a campaign
Align campaign optimization with business performance targets
Apply consistent thresholds across multiple campaigns
Update performance goals without editing campaigns directly in Amazon Ads
Campaign List (Inline Editing)
Target ACOS and Target ROAS appear as editable columns in the Campaigns table when supported
Each campaign row shows the current value
An edit icon appears when the campaign is eligible for editing
Changes are saved directly from the table
Bulk Update (Multiple Campaigns)
Campaign Manager supports updating performance thresholds for multiple campaigns at once
Bulk updates are performed from the Bulk Action menu
Open Campaign Manager and go to the Campaigns tab
Locate the campaign in the campaign list
Identify the Target ACOS or Target ROAS column
Click the edit icon in the relevant cell
Enter the desired value
Save the change by pressing Enter or clicking outside the field
Review the confirmation message indicating success or failure

Inline editing is disabled for archived or ended campaigns.
Steps: Bulk Update Target ACOS or ROAS
In the Campaigns tab, select one or more campaigns using the checkboxes
Click Bulk Action
Select Update performance thresholds
In the modal, choose the threshold type:
Target ACOS, or
Target ROAS
Enter the desired value
Submit the update
Review the confirmation message showing success or partial failure
Bulk updates are processed in a single request. Some campaigns may succeed while others fail validation.
Important Rules and Validations
Target Value Ranges
Target ACOS must be between 0 and 100
Target ROAS must be between 0 and 100
Campaign Eligibility
