Campaign Manager Overview: Managing and Optimizing Amazon Ad Campaigns in KwickMetrics

Overview

Campaign Manager is the primary module in KwickMetrics used to manage, view, and optimize Amazon advertising campaigns from a single interface. It provides sellers and agencies with a centralized workspace to review campaign performance, update campaign settings, and apply changes at scale without working directly in the Amazon Ads console.

Campaign Manager is designed to support structured campaign operations, improve control over large campaign sets, and reduce operational risk through consistent rules, validations, and bulk workflows.

Explanation

Campaign Manager acts as a management and reporting layer built on top of Amazon Ads data synced into KwickMetrics. It presents campaigns in a unified table view with performance metrics, editable configuration fields, and access to deeper campaign-level details.

From Campaign Manager, users can:

  1. View all campaigns for a selected marketplace (profile) in a single table

  2. Edit campaign settings inline, such as name, budget, base budget, status, dates, bidding strategy, and performance targets

  3. Perform bulk actions across multiple campaigns at once

  4. Drill into individual campaigns to manage structure and analyze performance

  5. Review performance trends, heatmaps, and applied automations

Usage

Campaign Manager is used when users need to:
  1. Monitor campaign performance for a specific marketplace and time range

  2. Make day-to-day campaign adjustments efficiently

  3. Apply consistent changes across multiple campaigns

  4. Investigate performance drivers at the campaign, ad group, or target level

  5. Review how automations such as dayparting or rule sets interact with active campaigns

It is intended for both routine campaign management and deeper performance review workflows.

Core Capabilities

  1. View one row per campaign with configuration details and performance metrics

  2. Filter, sort, and customize visible columns

  3. Enable, pause, or archive campaigns

  4. Edit campaign-level fields directly from the table

  1. Enable, pause, or archive multiple campaigns

  2. Adjust budgets, start dates, and end dates

  3. Update performance thresholds such as Target ACOS or Target ROAS

  4. Move campaigns into portfolios, remove them, or create new portfolios

  2. Manage ad groups, placements, products, search terms, targets, and negative targeting

  3. Apply suggested bids where available

  4. Analyze hourly performance using heatmaps

  5. Review campaign-level change history

Supported Ad Platforms and Scope

  1. Supported ad types:

    • Amazon Sponsored Products

    • Amazon Sponsored Display

  2. Data sources:

    • Standard Amazon Ads campaign reports

    • Amazon Marketing Stream (AMS), when available

  3. Scope:

    • All campaign data is limited to the selected marketplace (profile)

Notes
Campaign creation is not performed within Campaign Manager. New campaigns are created through the Campaign Launcher.

Important Rules and Behavior

  1. Campaign Manager supports near real-time data updates when Amazon Marketing Stream is enabled

  2. Amazon Marketing Stream availability depends on the user’s subscription plan

  3. Archived or ended campaigns are read-only and cannot be edited

  4. Budget, bid, date, and threshold changes are validated against marketplace and ad-type rules

Prerequisites

Before using Campaign Manager:

  1. The account plan must include access to the Campaign Manager module

  2. Amazon Ads integration must be completed

  3. At least one marketplace (profile) must be selected

  4. Ad spend or overage restrictions must not block access

If these conditions are not met, users may see restricted access messages or an integration setup prompt instead of campaign data.

Summary

Campaign Manager is the central control hub for Amazon advertising campaigns in KwickMetrics. It enables users to manage campaigns efficiently, apply changes at scale, analyze performance with confidence, and understand how automations affect live campaigns—all within a structured, rule-driven interface aligned to Amazon Ads behavior.
