The Returns Table in KwickMetrics lets you export your return data in structured formats based on how you want to analyse it. Depending on the Group By option selected, the export includes a different set of columns tailored to that level of analysis — whether you're looking at individual return events, product-level aggregation, or order-level grouping.

Export Header Information

Regardless of the Group By option selected, every export begins with a summary header that provides context for the data. It includes the Account Name, Marketplaces covered, the selected Date Range, and a currency note confirming the base currency and export timestamp.

Group By: SKU

The SKU export aggregates all return activity at the product level. Each row represents a unique SKU-Marketplace combination, giving you a consolidated view of how each product is performing across return, refund, fulfilment, and reason dimensions.

Columns Included

Product Identification Each row is identified by ASIN, SKU, Product Title, Marketplace, and Brand — giving you the full product context without needing to cross-reference elsewhere.

Sales & Return Volume Covers Sold Units, Sold Value, Return Units, Return Value, and Return Percentage — showing both the scale of sales and the proportion being returned for each SKU.

Refund Metrics Refund Units, Refund Value, and Refund Percentage are included, giving you a clear picture of the financial impact of returns at the product level.

Fulfilment Breakdown Returns are split by fulfilment channel — FBA, Merchant (FBM), and Flex — so you can see exactly which channel each return originated from and where your return volume is concentrated.

Disposition Status Shows the condition of returned units as recorded by Amazon — such as Sellable, Defective, Customer Damaged, Carrier Damaged, or Expired — helping you assess restockability and potential inventory losses.

Amazon Return Reasons Each Amazon return reason is broken out as an individual column showing the count of customers who selected it. Reasons span delivery issues, item mismatch, setup difficulty, buyer remorse, and transit-related returns — giving you a clear distribution of what's driving returns at the product level.

When to Use This

Use the SKU export when you want to evaluate which products have high return or refund rates, identify the dominant return reasons for a specific SKU, understand which fulfilment channel is driving returns, and compare return performance across marketplaces for the same product.

Group By: Order ID

The Order ID export groups return data at the order level. Each row represents a return grouped by order, making it suitable for transaction-level investigation and order-specific refund tracking.

Columns Included

Order Identification Each row is tied to a specific Order ID along with its Marketplace and associated SKU or ASIN — giving you the exact transaction context for every return.

Return & Refund Metrics Covers Return Units, Return Value, Refund Units, and Refund Value at the order level — so you can see precisely how much was returned and how much was refunded against each order.

Fulfilment Type Each order is tagged with its fulfilment channel — FBA, Merchant (FBM), or Flex — so you can trace individual returns back to their fulfilment source without leaving the report.

Disposition Status Shows the condition of the returned item as recorded by Amazon, helping you evaluate the outcome of each return at the order level.

When to Use This

Use the Order ID export when you need to investigate a specific return or dispute, verify refund amounts at the order level, identify which fulfilment channel a particular return came from, and support customer service or reimbursement claim workflows.

Group By: Raw Data

The Raw Data export provides individual return line items without any aggregation — one row per return event. This is the most granular export available and is best suited for custom analysis in spreadsheet tools or BI platforms.

When to Use This

Use the Raw Data export when you need full transaction-level detail, want to build your own pivot tables or custom reports, or are working with external analytics tools that require unaggregated data.
