Getting Started with Walmart Reimbursement

Overview

Walmart Reimbursement helps identify money that may be owed due to inventory discrepancies, return-related issues, shipment problems, or referral fee overcharges.

KwickMetrics provides this as a managed service. You can review eligible reimbursement amounts in the system, and the KwickMetrics team manages the claim process on your behalf.

Walmart reimbursement and case tracking are supported only for United States accounts. Non–US Walmart accounts are not supported for reimbursement within the platform.


What Can Be Recovered on Walmart

Walmart reimbursement coverage includes the following categories:

  1. Inventory Issues
    Lost, damaged, or destroyed inventory handled through Walmart fulfillment.

  2. Customer Return Issues
    Return lost, replacement lost, carrier damaged, refunded more, or delayed return discrepancies.

  3. Shipment Errors
    Shipment lost or shipment damaged during processing.

  4. Overcharged Referral Fees
    Referral fee discrepancies that may qualify for reimbursement.

Eligibility and timing follow Walmart’s claim window policies.


How to Start the Process

As a standard user, you cannot directly submit reimbursement claims.

To begin the Walmart reimbursement service:

  1. Open the Reimbursement section.

  2. Select the Walmart marketplace (if multiple marketplaces are connected).

  3. Review the Unclaimed Amount and reimbursement categories.

  4. Use the “Expires in” filter to identify items nearing deadline.

  5. Click “How to claim.”

  6. Contact support as guided to initiate the reimbursement service.

The reimbursement team will then review your Walmart account and begin processing eligible claims.


What Happens After You Contact Support

Once reimbursement service is initiated:

  1. Your Walmart account is reviewed for eligibility.

  2. Settlement reports or required documentation may be requested.

  3. Claims are prepared and submitted according to Walmart policies.

  4. Cases are created and managed by the reimbursement team.

  5. You can monitor progress in Case Tracker.

Recovered amounts are reflected in the Claimed Amount section once processed.

Walmart reimbursement eligibility is governed by claim windows. Items that pass their claim window may no longer be recoverable.

  1. Your Walmart United States account must be connected.

  2. Reimbursement data sync must be completed.

  3. Reimbursement service must be initiated using “How to claim.”
