Getting Started with Listing Analyser: Prerequisites, Credits, and Access Rules

Overview

This article explains the access requirements, prerequisites, and credit usage rules for using the Listing Analyser tool. Understanding these conditions helps ensure that analyses can be run successfully and avoids common access or execution issues.

Explanation

Listing Analyser is part of the Listing Management module and is governed by module access permissions, marketplace availability, and a shared credit system. Before an analysis can be initiated, the system validates user access, marketplace integration, available credits, and session status. If any required condition is not met, analysis actions are restricted.

Usage

Users should review these prerequisites before attempting to run a listing analysis to ensure uninterrupted usage and predictable behavior. This is especially important for teams managing multiple analyses or working within limited credit allocations.

Prerequisites

  1. The user must be logged in to a valid KwickMetrics account.

  2. The user must have access to the Listing Management module based on their plan and permissions.

  3. At least one Amazon sales channel must be integrated into the account.

  4. The user must be operating within an account context (account slug present in the URL).

  5. The user must have at least one available Listing Management credit to run an analysis.

Important Rules and Behavior

  1. Marketplace availability

    • Listing Analyser currently supports Amazon only.

    • When Walmart is selected, the tool displays a Coming soon state and analysis actions are not available.

  2. Credit usage

    • Each analysis session consumes 1 Listing Management credit.

    • Credits are deducted when an analysis is successfully initiated, not when results are viewed.

    • If the credit balance is less than 1, the Analyze Products action is disabled.

  3. Session concurrency

    • Only one analysis session can be in progress or queued at a time.

    • Users must wait for the current session to complete or fail before starting a new one.

  4. Permission and mode restrictions

    • Users without required module permissions are shown a Module Restricted screen.

    • In demo or impersonation mode, write actions such as running analyses, refreshing sessions, deleting sessions, or modifying competitor lists are disabled.

  5. Action availability

    • Analyze Products, Refresh, and Delete actions are enabled or disabled dynamically based on credits, permissions, session status, and user mode.

    • Tooltips explain why an action is unavailable when disabled.

Summary

Listing Analyser access depends on module permissions, Amazon marketplace integration, available credits, and session availability. Each analysis uses one credit and only one session can run at a time. Reviewing these prerequisites and rules ensures smooth usage and prevents unexpected restrictions when working with the tool.
