Manage Listing Analyser Sessions & Statuses

Managing Listing Analyser Sessions: Viewing Status, Deleting Sessions, and Common Constraints

Overview

This article explains how Listing Analyser sessions are managed after they are created. It covers session statuses, viewing completed analyses, deleting sessions, and the constraints that control when actions are available.

Explanation

Each Listing Analyser run is stored as a session. Sessions progress through defined statuses and remain available for review until deleted. The system enforces rules around when sessions can be viewed, refreshed, or removed to prevent conflicts with ongoing analyses.

Usage

Users manage sessions to monitor analysis progress, access completed results, and clean up older or unnecessary sessions. Understanding session behavior helps avoid confusion around disabled actions or unavailable results.

Session Statuses

  1. Yet to start

    • The session is queued and waiting to begin processing.

  2. In progress

    • The analysis is actively running in the background.

  3. Completed

    • The analysis finished successfully and results are available for viewing.

  4. Failed

    • The analysis did not complete successfully. Partial results may still be available.

Viewing Sessions

  1. Only sessions with a Completed status can be opened to view full analysis results.

  2. Sessions that are Yet to start or In progress cannot be opened, and the view action is disabled.

  3. Session status updates automatically while processing is underway.

Deleting Sessions

  1. Only sessions with Completed or Failed status can be selected for deletion.

  2. Sessions that are Yet to start or In progress cannot be deleted.

  3. Deleting a session permanently removes it and cannot be undone.

Important Rules and Behavior

  1. Only one analysis session can be queued or in progress at a time.

  2. Session lists refresh automatically when session status changes or after deletion.

  3. In demo or impersonation mode, session deletion and refresh actions are disabled.

  4. Sessions with failed products may still be marked as completed, with failed ASINs shown separately.

Summary

Listing Analyser sessions follow defined lifecycle states that control when results can be viewed or sessions can be deleted. By understanding session statuses and constraints, users can effectively track analyses, access results at the right time, and manage session history without conflicts.
